The Windows search tool is really useful when it comes to finding a certain file or folder on your hard disk. But the problem with the Windows search tool is that it takes up a lot of memory, as it indexes files and folders, to allow a faster search process. Besides that, search results are not always accurate and the user may need to repeat the process using other options and other keywords.
Fortunately, there are additional applications on the market which can replace and extend the functionality of the Windows search tool. One of these applications is Locate32. This Windows program is actually a simple and intuitive search tool which can help you find any file or folder in the shortest time possible, without even using any indexing service.
The program does not need installing and it's enough to run the executable file from the program archive. After running it, the user will be presented with an intuitive interface, which allows him to quickly learn the application's functionality. The first thing to do is to enter the name of the file or folder and, optionally, select the file type, to narrow the search results.
